Community Voices
Speaker series connecting newcomers to local leaders
ACCL’s Community Voices series of gatherings create a space for immigrant community members and the larger community to engage with local leaders. These events feature leaders from city government, the public school system, the police, and consulates, as well as mental health providers, college admissions directors, and local entrepreneurs.
The Community Voices series offers a two-way conversation: Immigrants and refugees find an opportunity to learn how to thrive in Lowell, and at the same time, local leaders learn about the cultural expectations, needs, and strengths of newcomers.

In 2025 ACCL plans to host six Community Voices events, taking place on the third Thursday of every other month, in the meeting room at First United Baptist Church, from 5 to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be offered.
